Congratulations to Jess Clayton our 2018 winner
Sometimes people make a difference that is a game changer for many people both now and in the future. In her work on the upskirting bill Jess become one of those people.
Jess was responsible, along with Sophie Lyddon in the PAU, for the idea of a Private Members Bill to make upskirting illegal in England and Wales and has worked alongside Gina Martin to make this a reality. It is amazing that in such a short space of time she and Wera have put enough pressure on the Government for them to adopt the Bill in their own time and for this I believe Jess deserves to be nominated for this award.
So Jess thank you for all the hard work in helping to turn this private members bill into a reality.
Alongside our winner this year LDW decided to acknowledge the shortlisted nominees for the considerable contributions they have made by presenting awards.
