Gender Neutral Uniforms
Following a motion tabled by Lib Dem MP Layla Moran stating "That this House notes that the adoption of a gender-neutral school uniform policy creates an environment in which everyone is accepted and students are not labelled by the clothing they wear; Conference goers went one step further in March and voted for gender neutral uniforms to be a part of our education policy.
Liberal Democrat FGM Petition
We would like to draw your attention to the petition concerning FGM (Female Genital Mutilation) on the Liberal Democrat website.
As an organisation we are in full support of the Party's campaign to End FGM. The practice which has potentially been performed on over 20,000 young girls and women in the UK is profoundly demoralising and physically harmful. As supporters of women, we must believe in and support their rights to choose and to live without fear of such abuse.
