Don't forget to register for our Saturday morning Brunch on 25 March - an update and discussion on the impact of Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) on young women and girls.
Time: 10.30 am – 1:00pm
Venue: Francis Taylor Building
At least 200 million girls and women alive today have undergone some form of female genital mutilation. If current trends continue, 15 million more girls could be affected by 2030. Changing people’s perceptions and attitudes about FGM is perhaps the biggest challenge.
Join our two experts - Comfort Momoh MBE (FGM Consultant and Public Health Specialist) and Joy Clarke (FGM Specialist Midwife) to discuss the approaches needed to enhance progress, success stories and what more needs to be done to end this abhorrent practice.
This is a free event but a suggested donation of £10 to the Fund for Gender Equality is warmly encouraged. It is essential to register prior to the event to secure your place by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
