The Blavatnik School of Government has three new scholarships this year, to support those wanting to stand for elected office in the UK and Ireland. They cover the costs of study for a one-year Master of Public Policy (MPP), with the ultimate goal of supporting diversity and world-class training among those entering politics.
We wondered if you could spread the word among potential candidates by tweeting, passing the details on to your membership or network, as well as advising us on any other channels we could use. If you are able to print off information to put on noticeboards, do please let me know and I can send you a pdf in A4 format. We also wanted to ask if you personally had anyone in mind that you would like to nominate?
Applicants must gain admission to the MPP first, and are eligible for the scholarship if they come from the UK or Ireland and intend to run for election in within the next five years. Some, we hope, may already have some experience - for example those like you working as staffers in the House. Others may be more recent graduates but with a demonstrated interest in politics.
The Blavatnik School MPP is an intensive one-year graduate degree that offers a distinctive approach to learning about public policy and draws students from all over the world. You can see more from our scholarship announcement:
