Join us at virtual conference for our fringe meeting discussing the impact of coronavirus on women in the economy.
We have an illustrious panel of speakers:
Emma Degg - Chief Executive, North West Business Leadership Team, an expert on innovation and regional regeneration, background here.
Vicky Pryce - former joint head of the UK Government Economics Service, former Head Economist and former Partner at KPMG, background here.
Prof. Fiona Beveridge - Executive Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Liverpool University specialising in EU social law and gender equality, background here.
- Munira Wilson, MP for Twickenham and Liberal Democrat spokesperson on Health, Wellbeing and Social Care
Lib Dem Women is submitting an emergency motion to conference on this subject. Read a draft here.
You don't need to RSVP to attend the event - find us in the conference agenda. (Although if you want to RSVP, it's great to gauge interest levels.)
The fringe will be followed by our famous conference cocktail night. You do need to RSVP for that - which you can do here.
Join us after the Lib Dem Women conference fringe for cocktails and catching up. You can join this social even if you are not attending conference as we will be on Zoom.
We can't offer you discounted jugs of cocktails and mocktails this time around so pick your poison or pour yourself a cuppa and drop in for a catch up.
We will be using the Zoom Breakout Rooms function to give us some manageable size groups for proper conversations and hopefully allow us to mingle after a fashion...
We hope to see you there!
This event is open to non-members, so do bring along Lib Dem colleagues who would be interested in finding out more about Lib Dem Women.
And here are some cocktail suggestions from our cocktail queen Lizzie Jewkes...
Make your favourite martini and drink it alone. We recommend Vodka, lemon & honey as the most appropriate combination.
- Holy water
Drink and pray this nightmare is over soon.
- Orange juice
- Coconut cream
- Top with a little grated nutmeg
Designed to transport you to a tropical beach even if nothing else can.
Put anything you've got in the drinks cupboard in a large glass and enjoy.
RSVP for another cocktail recipe and to join an evening of fun and lively discussion.
