Conference is always a great opportunity to get involved with policy - and to speak on subjects you care about or in which you have personal experience or expertise. But not everyone knows where to start or how much value they can add to the discussions. (And with our conference online again, even regular contributors won't have the usual train ride to conference to read through the agenda and work out their speaking plan either!)
To support our members in taking part in the debates, join us for an evening talking through the policy motions on the Spring conference agenda. We will also cover how to submit your speaker's card online and what to include to improve your chances of being selected to speak.
Longtime Federal Conference Committee member Jennie Rigg will guide us through the motions selected for debate.
So whether you are interested in discussing policy with fellow LDW members or identifying opportunities to speak at conference, please join us for what is sure to be an interesting evening.
PS Take a look at this piece written by Jennie about speaking at a (real) conference to whet your appetite.
